Planning a trip to Seefeld

Seefeld sits on a sunny plateau at around 1,200 metres, between the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains. The village centre is largely pedestrian, so once you have arrived you can do most of your holiday on foot: cafés, shops, the parish church and the walking trails all start close together.

Seefeld also has its own railway station on the line from Innsbruck, which makes a car-free holiday realistic. If you are combining Seefeld with the Zell am See region, plan around two and a half hours by road between the two.
When to come

Summer brings plateau walks, small lakes such as the Wildsee at the edge of the village, cycling and day trips to Innsbruck. Spring and autumn are quieter and often good value.
